Obtaining Vehicle License Plates
The Property Management Office (PMO) requires specific information to request license plates for University vehicles. The information that is required depends on the circumstances of the vehicle's acquisition. Please contact the PMO at (208) 885-4070 with any questions.
Process
Forward the Report of Sale and Application for Certificate of Title (ITD-0502) (Pink Slip) and the budget number to cover the cost of license plates to the PMO by Campus Mail at MS 4243 or deliver to SUB Room 045.
Process
Forward the bill of sale and title to your local Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) office. The DMV will provide you with an Application for Certificate of Title (ITD-3337 or ITD-3339).
Forward the application and budget number to cover the cost of license plates to the PMO by Campus Mail to MS 4243 or deliver to SUB Room 045.

Process
Used vehicles purchased out-of-state require a vehicle identification number (VIN) inspection. VIN inspections can be done at the local Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) office or scheduled with the sheriff or police department.
Forward the bill of sale, title and VIN inspection certificate to your local DMV office. The DMV will provide you with an Application for Certificate of Title (ITD-3337 or ITD-3339).
Forward the application and budget number to cover the cost of license plates to the PMO by Campus Mail to MS 4243 or deliver to SUB Room 045.

Forward the following information to the PMO by email, by Campus Mail to MS 4243 or deliver it to SUB Room 045.
- Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
- License plate number
- Vehicle description
- Department or college the vehicle was transferred to/from

Homemade trailers require an inspection. Inspections can be done at the local Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) office or scheduled with the sheriff or police department.
Forward the inspection certificate and budget number to cover the cost of license plates to the PMO by Campus Mail to MS 4243 or deliver to SUB Room 045.
