This year, the 2nd annual Moscow Race for Action: Bring It Together will be held on Saturday, April 25th which aims to bring Moscow together and support our local non-profits.
We are excited to bring this event back to Moscow after our success last year! Last April we raised almost $3000 which was divided among the Humane Society, the Pritchard Art Gallery and Alternatives to Violence on the Palouse. Eight other non-profits raised awareness about their efforts and in some cases had volunteers accomplish tasks at their sites.
The event will take place on Saturday, April 25 beginning at the East City Park Stage in Moscow, Idaho.
|9:45 a.m.– 10:30 a.m.
||Orientation and check-In for all race participants.
|10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
||The Race will start and end at East City Park. All sites will close at 1:00 p.m.
|1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
||We’ll celebrate the race’s conclusion with lunch and announce the winning teams and award recipients.
Up to twenty local non-profits will host sites throughout Moscow. Teams will race to multiple non-profit sites and complete an activity at each site. To ensure that each non-profit is visited by an even number of teams, the planning committee will randomly choose sites each team will have to visit. To ensure quality control for the activities, each participating non-profit will have a stamp. Every team will be required to get their Moscow non-profit passport stamped in order to move on to the next site. Each team will also be required to stay at each site for a set amount of time. The race is between sites.
The first 3 teams to complete all necessary activities and return to East City Park win! Each winning team will choose a participating local non-profit to receive a percentage of the total earnings from the race.
1st place – 50%
2nd place – 30%
3rd place – 20%
Example: If there were 50 participating teams, they would raise $5,000 total. 50% = $2500 to give to the participating non-profit of their choice. The second and third place teams would choose where to donate the remaining $1500 and $1000, respectively.
Get involved in two different ways:
