Social Equity & Environmental Justice

The Sustainability Center works with several student organizations on campus to engage the University in conversations about social equity issues on local, national and international scales. Efforts in the past include a social equity film series, Oxfam's Women in Climate Change events and tabling events to raise awareness. Key student organizations that have partnered with us on these efforts are Oxfam, International Affairs Club and Environmental Club.
"Environmental Justice is the fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race, color, national origin, or income with respect to the development, implementation, and enforcement of environmental laws, regulations, and policies.”
