Adria Mead, University of Idaho Sustainability Center Director

Adria is now our senior-most staff member, starting at the Sustainability Center as a Work Study her freshman year. She is now a senior studying Environmental Science and Biology. Though we keep her good and busy at UISC, she also serves as the student representative on the Sustainable Environment Commission for Moscow. In her free time she enjoys playing soccer and being outside. Adria’s job at UISC is to continue the development of sustainable programs and initiatives at the University.

Alex Rheault, Volunteer Coordinator

Alex Rheault is senior at the University of Idaho studying Environmental Science with an emphasis in hydrology and Spanish. Alex is originally from Fargo, ND and now resides in Moscow. She has held leadership positions in the U of I orchestra and was a board member of ASUI Vandal Entertainment for two years as Small Concerts Chair and Board Chair. Alex enjoys volunteering, biking, hiking, reading, cooking, music and arts and crafts.

Here at the Sustainability Center we value two things at a premium: good humor and high energy. Avery fits this bill to the letter. He is a Lewiston native with cosmopolitan taste. His design eye is developed beyond his years and his work shows the light heart and warm spirit that he brings to the Sustainability Center Staff. We’re glad to have Avery who is a collaborator and team player, the sort tailor-made for his demanding role at the Sustainability Center.

David Daigle, Tech Support Specialist

David is a freshman at the University of Idaho studying Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. A Poulsbo, Washington native, he enjoys spending time outdoors year round, whether it’s snowboarding during the winter, or rock climbing and backpacking throughout the summer. At UISC he is responsible for repairing computers during a crisis and keeping the office technology up to date. His information technology skills also translate into his day to day life where he spends much of his time fixing friends’ computers for fun.

Ethan Kimberling, Marketing Coordinator

Ethan is a Moscow local and a senior in the College of Art and Architecture's Studio Art program. Over his collegiate career he has amassed a wide array of artistic experience, ranging from freelance work to a design internship. While illustration is his main focus in life, he has a soft spot for the environment and sustainable living. Ethan brings a unique blend of design and illustration to the UISC to help reach sustainability goals around the community.

Keaghan Caldwell, Event Coordinator

From Spokane originally, Keaghan is a senior at the University of Idaho and studies Environmental Science. He is a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and president of the Archery Club. As an avid lover of the outdoors he spends his free time camping, hiking, biking, or playing one of the many intermurals he participates in. Keaghan looks forward to the next year in UISC as event planner, and hopes that the time he spends here deepens his love for both the school and the outdoors.

Kelsey is a senior at the University of Idaho with a passion for video production, studying Broadcast Journalism and Digital Media. She maintains the websites for UISC and OCP as well as dabbles in the social marketing world, helping to promote the center and its events. When she’s not behind a computer screen at the office or school, Kelsey enjoys spending her time with a glass of lemonade and a book in the sun or stumbling into an adventure.

Originally from Sandpoint, Becca is a senior at the University of Idaho majoring in Studio Art with an emphasis in Graphic Design. Her passion for design has only recently formed in the last few years but is well developed with great style and character. She is excited to get involved with the projects and events with the UISC and help better the sustainable practices on campus. When she is not studying or working, she enjoys swimming, hiking, reading, and dancing.

Tessa Jilot, Recycling Coordinator

Tessa is a graduate student at the University of Idaho studying conservation social sciences and public administration. Originally from Wisconsin, her love of environmentalism was sparked in high school by a very passionate environmental science teacher. Before moving to Idaho, Tessa studied environmental education and political science at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and worked for several years at the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. Tessa enjoys travelling, hiking, camping, and spending time with her two muttly dogs.

Wieteke Holthuijzen, Projects Coordinator

Originally a Boise native, Wieteke Holthuijzen is a junior at the University of Idaho working towards a degree in Environmental Science (with a little bit of French on the side for fun!). When she isn't busy studying, Wieteke loves being in the Great Outdoors, either birding, hiking, biking, or camping. Wieteke joined the UISC team in the fall of 2011 as the UISC Projects Coordinator and helps manage the Student Led Grants Program.

Jeannie Matheison, Sustainability Program Advisor

Jeannie contributes to a variety of programs, including: the UI Sustainability Center, small business energy efficiency, campus food systems, marketing, and communications. She has ten years of sustainability experience working in county, non-profit and university arenas. Jeannie has a B.A. from Washington State University in Environmental Policy. She is dedicated to helping U-Idaho achieve carbon neutrality by 2030, in part by strengthening a culture of sustainability and efficiency at U-Idaho.
