The Office of Community Partnerships (OCP) works with others at the University of Idaho to develop and support service-learning, internship and volunteer projects for communities and businesses. Contact us at communitypartnerships@uidaho.edu if you’d like help developing a project or need connections with others in the university:
- The University of Idaho Sustainability Center creates an active culture of sustainability on campus and in communities through projects that reduce environmental footprint and promote collaboration among students, faculty, staff and community members in addressing sustainability-related issues.
- The Building Sustainable Communities Initiative (BSCI) assists communities in fulfilling their visions for sustainable growth. BSCI brings faculty and students together with Idaho communities and tribes to work together to improve quality of life and build sustainable futures. It is an interdisciplinary program.
- The Service-Learning Center promotes service-learning, which integrates student learning with service and civic engagement to meet community needs.
- The ASUI Center for Volunteerism and Social Action fosters lifelong commitments to service and civic action by engaging students and communities in volunteer activities that educate and develop leaders capable of creating change.
