Clubs & Leadership Opportunities
Faculty and staff at the College of Graduate Studies make a special effort to nurture the communication and leadership abilities that are so important to your ultimate success. This is done through the sponsorship of a wide variety of activities and associations. By participating in meetings, conferences, clubs and community service activities, you’ll develop confidence and leadership traits that will serve you well in your career even as you build a network of professional contacts.
Leadership development The University of Idaho creates global citizens who know how to step in, step up, take the lead and get things done.
The newest and most comprehensive leadership program is
Leadership Education and Development Series (LEADS). LEADS provides an extensive program of interactive workshops designed to develop personal leadership qualities while fostering positive social change.
A variety of additional workshops is conducted throughout the school year, and students can also register for those at LEADS workshops.
Choose the classes and level of participation that best suit you, complete the program and you’ll earn a certificate documenting your leadership abilities. The LEADS Program is free and open to all students. For questions, call (208) 885-1020 or e-mail
idleads@sub.uidaho.edu.
A complete description of the program and its rules of participation can be found at
student activities/LEADS.
Club and organization questions can be submitted at
clubs@stuorgs.uidaho.edu or you can find a club. The search function of the directory provides a listing of the 100-plus student organizations registered with the Associated Students University of Idaho (ASUI) and the Student Activities and Leadership Programs Office.
