Undergraduate Awards

Individuals or teams are eligible for all categories. Award money will be divided among team members.

Undergraduate Posters

The Undergraduate Poster Award will recognize research or creative activities on-going or completed by undergraduate students at the University of Idaho. Posters must be between 24x32 inches and 36X48 inches in size. Posters should be sufficiently backed or laminated so they can stand on an easel (foam core is not required). Posters should list all participants involved in the research and if appropriate, the faculty sponsor.

Undergraduate Presentations

Students and teams will present their research through a presentation (up to 18 minutes in length) to a panel of judges. Technology will be available for display purposes, if required.

     Award Categories for Presentations 

  • Interdisciplinary Research Award
    The Interdisciplinary Research Award will recognize outstanding completed or on-going research conducted as part of a degree program at the University of Idaho which integrates concepts or ideas across distinctly different disciplines.

  • Disciplinary Research Award
    The Disciplinary Research Award will recognize outstanding completed or on-going research in a distinct discipline conducted as part of a degree program at the University of Idaho.

  • Undergraduate Artistic and Creative Activities
    The Artistic and Creative Activity Award will recognize outstanding visual, performing, or creative arts which are either on-going or completed as part of a degree program at the University of Idaho. It will be important to note how the work was developed or designed, to provide a description of methods employed in creating the work, and should state the inspiration for the artistic or creative work and its importance.
