BUS 551, Business Principles for Scientists I: Managing Scientific Projects
3 credits | College of Business and Economics
Modules in the first of two courses in management will engage students in the application of business principles needed to manage scientific projects in both the private and public sector with emphasis on accounting, financial, and scheduling concepts. Course topics include revenue and cost analysis, analysis of financial return, budgeting, project scheduling and capacity planning, risk management, and project control. Modules in each of the management courses will be interdependent and should be taken in sequence.
