The Graduate Program in Neuroscience at the University of Idaho was established in 2003 as a multi-disciplinary program offering the Ph.D. and M.S. degrees.
Neuroscience is the study of the nervous system; this study is broad and includes investigations of the development, anatomy and physiology of the nervous system, research of cognitive and behavioral processes, and the application of mathematics and computer science to understand and model neurological function.
A Neuroscience degree from the University of Idaho is distinct in that the graduate can approach and describe the study of neuroscience from a variety of perspectives, and apply this broad understanding to address the important problems in neuroscience research that require an interdisciplinary approach.
