  • Biography

    Maxine Dakins received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from University of Iowa, a Master of Science in Statistics from University of Wisconsin, and holds a doctorate in Environmental Modeling and Risk Assessment from the State University of New York — College of Environmental Science and Forestry. Maxine is sole proprietor of a statistical consulting firm in addition to her work as a faculty member with UI. She is the primary advisor for Environmental Science students, and teaches several courses, at the University of Idaho┬áCenter in Idaho Falls.┬áHer research interests include environmental statistics, environmental decision analysis, probabilistic risk analysis, Bayesian analysis, natural resource policy and law, public participation, and pollution prevention.
