College of Graduate Studies’ Thesis, Dissertation & Non-Thesis Report Form (NTR) 2015 Deadlines
 
Please check with your department as they may have earlier deadlines than COGS.

Spring 2015 Graduate with Spring 2015 Registration Required:
Meeting the May 8, 2015 Deadline
April 17 Last date to submit your document for the FIRST format review. Submitting later may delay the review of your document and delay the approval of your format.
April 24 LAST DATE FOR FINAL DEFENSES.
May  1 Last day to submit the final version of your document in ETD (this is the fully revised—both content and format—version of your document that will be published online) if you are planning to make the May 8th deadline.  If you are unable to meet this deadline, please contact Melinda for assistance in submitting your document.
May 8 Final day that the bond copy of your document can be delivered to Morrill 201A; this is the print copy of the final ETD version that will be housed in the library. Final day for NTR submissions.

Summer 2015 Graduate with No Summer 2015 Registration Required (if registered in spring 2015):
Meeting the June 5, 2015  Deadline
May 8 Last date to submit your document for the FIRST format review. Submitting later may delay the review of your document and delay the approval of your format.
May 15 LAST DATE FOR FINAL DEFENSES.
June 1 Last day to submit the final version of your document in ETD (this is the fully revised—both content and format—version of your document that will be published online) if you are planning to make the June 5th deadline.  If you are unable to meet this deadline, please contact Melinda for assistance in submitting your document.
June 5 Final day that the bond copy of your document can be delivered to Morrill 201A; this is the print copy of the final ETD version that will be housed in the library.  Final day for NTR submissions. Any theses or dissertations that are submitted after this date will require summer 2015 registration.

Fall 2015 Graduate with No Fall 2015 Registration Required (if registered in summer 2015):
Meeting the August 28, 2015 Deadline
August 3 Last date to submit your document for the FIRST format review. Submitting later may delay the review of your document and delay the approval of your format.
August 7 LAST DATE FOR FINAL DEFENSES.
August 24 Last day to submit the final version of your document in ETD (this is the fully revised—both content and format—version of your document that will be published online) if you are planning to make the August 28th deadline.  If you are unable to meet this deadline, please contact Melinda for assistance in submitting your document.
August 28 Final day that the bond copy of your document can be delivered to Morrill 201A; this is the print copy of the final ETD version that will be housed in the library.  Final day for NTR submissions.  Any theses or dissertations that are submitted after this date will require fall 2015 registration.



Electronic submission of theses and dissertations

As of January 2014, all theses and dissertations are being submitted electronically from the first format review to the final version using ProQuest’s ETD module. See the New Handbook and the ETD page for details. More
