College of Graduate Studies’ Thesis, Dissertation & Non-Thesis Report Form (NTR) Deadlines: 2014 Please check with your department as they may have earlier deadlines than COGS.

Fall 2014 Graduate with Fall 2014 Registration Required:
Meeting the December 12 Thesis & Dissertation Deadline
November 21 Last date to submit your document for the FIRST format review. Submitting later may delay the review of your document and delay the approval of your format.
November 26 LAST DATE FOR FINAL DEFENSES.
December 5 Last day to submit the final version of your document in ETD (this is the fully revised—both content and format—version of your document that will be published online) if you are planning to make the Dec. 19th deadline.  If you are unable to meet this deadline, please contact Melinda for assistance in submitting your document.
December 12 Final day that the bond copy of your document can be delivered to Morrill 207; this is the print copy of the final ETD version that will be housed in the library.
December 19 Final day for NTR submissions.
 
Spring 2015 Graduate with No Spring 2015 Registration Required (if registered in fall 2014): 
Meeting the January 13 Thesis & Dissertation Deadline

Spring 2015 Graduate with Spring 2015 Registration Required:
Meeting the May 8, 2015 Thesis & Dissertation Deadline
April 17 Last date to submit your document for the FIRST format review. Submitting later may delay the review of your document and delay the approval of your format.
April 24 LAST DATE FOR FINAL DEFENSES.
May 1 Last day to submit the final version of your document in ETD (this is the fully revised—both content and format—version of your document that will be published online) if you are planning to make the May 8th deadline.  If you are unable to meet this deadline, please contact Melinda for assistance in submitting your document.
May 8 Final day that the bond copy of your document can be delivered to Morrill 207; this is the print copy of the final ETD version that will be housed in the library
May  15 Final day for NTR submissions.



Electronic submission of theses and dissertations

As of January 2014, all theses and dissertations are being submitted electronically from the first format review to the final version using ProQuest’s ETD module. See the New Handbook and the ETD page for details. More
