For undergraduates, meeting regularly with the EnvS Program Advisor is essential to your academic success. Advising will help you select appropriate courses to meet university and EnvS requirements, put together schedules that fit your needs, and stay on track to graduate.
Registration occurs in November for spring semester, and in April for fall semester. One month prior to registration you will receive an email reminder from your advisor to set up an advising appointment so the two of you can review your schedule for the following semester.
To set up an appointment with your advisor, contact the program office between 8-5, M-F at (208) 885-6113.
Get to know your advisor and the rest of the staff in the EnvS office. We can help with much more than just selecting classes!
Get organized. Use an academic planner to track assignments, exam dates, and important deadlines.
Keep a list of important contacts. This should include your advisor, professors, and resources such as the Writing Center, Tutoring and Academic Assistance Center, Counseling and Testing Center, and more. Make sure you have email addresses and phone numbers handy.
Connect with junior and seniors in the EnvS Program. They are a wealth of knowledge about what classes to take, where to find jobs and internships, how to get more involved on campus, etc.
