Step 3: Cutting Edge Interdisciplinary Research

Ready to Apply?

If you are ready to build on a strong foundation, gain interdisciplinary breadth and depth and conduct cutting edge interdisciplinary research then it is time to visit our admissions page to learn what is needed to apply. Our degrees page can help you get started designing your curriculum and preparing you for a graduate degree in BCB.

Our BCB program provides a uniquely interdisciplinary research experience for our students. The interdisciplinary focus of BCB is facilitated by a lab rotation designed by the student and his or her committee, which provides a research experience outside the major focus area of the student.

Faculty Advisors from Across Disciplines

Students benefit from having faculty advisors that work across disciplines. It is common for mathematicians, statisticians or computer scientists to be co-principal investigators on research grants with biologists.  The synergy among the three disciplines is unprecedented.
