PNW-COSMOS Panel Discussion

Dr. Kim Winkelman (Oglala Lakota and Abenaki) is a retired Army lieutenant colonel. In 22 years of military service, he earned several military merit awards. He earned a bachelor’s degree from The Citadel, a master’s from the Monterey Institute of International Studies in California, and his doctorate from Walden University. Winkelman is credited with spearheading a movement to create Comanche Nation College, against great odds from local and state governments. Comanche Nation College was the first tribal college in Oklahoma at the time.

Panel discussion led by Dr. Kim Winkelman.
