Fall 2013 Teaching Assistant Institute Schedule

As a requirement of Human Resources and the College of Graduate Studies, employment as a Teaching Assistant is contingent upon completion of a mandatory TA Training Institute.

This course will consist of two half-day (in-person) session on Thursday, August 22, and Friday, August 23, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m (room to be announced) and then supported throughout the semester on Bblearn.
  • The TA Institute, required of all new part-time and full-time TAs located on the Moscow campus, is designed to improve the quality of your teaching and your assistantship experience. Teaching Assistants will have one semester to complete this course.

  • International Teaching Assistants must register for a specific section: INTR 508-Strategies for International Teaching Assistants.

  • Failure to complete the course by the end of the term will result in non-renewal of the Teaching Assistantship for the following term.  Further information on the course will be communicated here and with Teaching Assistants directly.  Exceptional or emergency circumstances that preclude completion of the course must be petitioned directly to the College of Graduate Studies.
