There is no better place to apply what you’ve learned in the classroom than in our Experimental Forest. Several departments and more than 20 classes share the forest throughout the year for lab trips and outdoor classroom exercises. While a student and frequent visitor to the forest, you’ll learn about forest management practices, watershed, wildlife and range management, and much more.
Depending on your field of study, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Help plan the harvests
- Design the road systems
- Write the silvicultural prescriptions
