CNR Ambassador Addresses President's Pre-Game Event
By Jill Maxwell
Thorp is an ecology and conservation biology major, a CNR student ambassador, and the recipient of multiple scholarships. She told the crowd that she would not have been as successful as a student if it hadn’t been for the support she received from private scholarships. “I have had lots of opportunities as an undergraduate that were made possible because of scholarships I’ve received,” she said.
Thorp, who has been to Indiana, Australia, and Ecuador during her time as a student, also credited the environment within the College of Natural Resources for her success. “I can’t talk about U-Idaho without talking about CNR,” she said. “My professors are super passionate about what they do. As a result, I have become passionate about what I’m studying.”
