You don't have to look very far to see the positive impact private giving can make – the Geospatial Education and Research Complex is a hallmark of our College of Natural Resources (CNR) laboratories. The Reveley family, Thomas ’59 and Teita Reveley, have given often to the College of Natural Resources. Their latest financial gift has supported the construction of the Thomas and Teita Reveley Geospatial Education and Research Complex, which is a dynamic, global center for the study of earth system science, education, and research that specializes in geographic information systems, remote sensing and global positioning systems tools.
“Teita and I have always been interested in the global ecosystem and even more so today, as we experience changing climatic conditions, indiscriminate development of the world’s resources, and its impact on our air, water and forests," said Reveley. "We looked at a number of investment options and decided that supporting the University of Idaho College of Natural Resources would have the strongest and most balanced impact in dealing with the many ecological issues we are facing today. It has been very exciting for us to participate in the project firsthand and have the good feeling of giving back."
