Our faculty members, research associates, graduate students and undergraduates are all active in the pursuit of knowledge that will lead to a healthier human populations and a more vibrant and sustainable environment. Together these elements will help support sustainable tourism, environmental protection and economic development.
Ecotourism: A Growing Demand
When it comes to protecting parks and natural lands from encroaching threats like deforestation, overgrazing and pollution, the role of ecotourism and resource professionals is considerable. Natural resource conservtion professionals help communicate and demonstrate the incredible value of keeping lands protected and pristine. Our International Land Preservation and Conservation Systems (CSS 493) course will give you the opportunity to examine international approaches to land preservation and conservation.
