Financing Your Education
The University of Idaho is committed to your success, from help with financing your education to providing guidance in exploring internship and employment opportunities. In fact, more than $80 million is awarded annually in financial aid and scholarships to University of Idaho students. Scholarships include those awarded by the College of Natural Resources, general university scholarships and nonresident tuition assistance.
New students are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships by submitting a complete Application for Admission with high school/college transcripts and high school test scores. In addition to an Application for Admission, students must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for federal financial aid and need-based scholarships. For priority consideration, all applications should be received by February 15.
The deadline for additional graduate support is in January. The college can offer graduates who apply by this date extra support for:
- Travel Awards
- Assistantships
- Tuition Waivers
- Diversity Awards
Our January deadline for additional graduate support is part of our strategic enrollment plan. Please make note of this, as it is not to be confused with the university’s February admissions application deadline. And, of course, students may apply at ANY time.
