Directors Corner

The need for scholarships is great, and there are many opportunities for giving. And as the College of Natural Resources (CNR) assistant dean of development, I’m honored and excited to help you create and manage your perfect scholarship gift.

You can contribute to a general scholarship fund from which awards are made each year. Or, you may choose to create an endowment – or contribute to an existing one – that is invested and managed by the University of Idaho Foundation and awarded over time, to benefit students in specific colleges and programs.

Scholarship gifts in any amount are appreciated and welcomed. As you know, we are in the midst of a particularly dynamic chapter both for CNR and the university, marked by significant changes in leadership and limitless opportunities for evolution, growth and change as we seek to define ourselves in this new era.

We all benefit from giving and hands-on involvement:

  • Students gain insight for their personal career goals
  • Employers find a better product in the caliber of the graduates they hire
  • Our college continues to develop a reputation for providing excellent education
  • Our alumni find that the value of their degree continues to increase

It is because of these mutually beneficial relationships that we are able to create our exciting vision for future programs. We thank you for your generosity, your support, your participation, your advocacy, and your leadership. Each and every way you give back to the College of Natural Resources makes a difference today and will continue to impact our shared future.

Contact me anytime, and I’ll work with you in fulfilling your desire to become more involved with the College of Natural Resources!
