Satellite rugby transmissions

This is how you can get to watch live international rugby in the USA.

To begin with you will need a satellite dish or a friend or neighborhood pub with one. The dish should be stearable. If you're thinking of purchasing, check your local ordinances first. Many city areas won't let you stick a dish in your backyard. If you can go ahead, the dish, installation and transponder will likely cost near to $2000.

Next, you might consider finding out about, and homing in on, the feeds going from Europe to New Zealand and Australia. Some more information on this may be provided here at a later date. In the past anyway, most of these feeds have not been scrambled but you are leaving a lot to chance with this method.

The Canadian channel TSN (Toronto Sports Network) sometimes shows rugby. They showed all games in the 1991 world cup and show most major internationals. The broadcasts are not normally live though and so you will need to get information on their programming. Canadian viewers express exasperation with TSN for their irregular and infrequent rugby programming but they get more than in the US.

If you have lots of money there is a commercial supplier.
