Alumni Lead Archaeology Efforts Nationwide

When Laura Longstaff walks across the University of Idaho stage with her master’s degree in archaeology, she expects to join an impressive group of alumni working as archaeologists.

Idaho’s archaeology archeology graduates have gone on to professional positions as faculty members here and at other universities; registered archaeologists who’ve consulted for prestigious organizations such as the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History; cultural resource managers at the Nez Perce National Historical Park; archaeologists for the Bureau of Land Management, the National Park Service, the U.S. Forest Service and private companies; and archaeologists for state and tribal entities.
