Understanding Social Behavior

Have you ever wondered why people act in the way that they do? If people and their behavior capture your attention, prepare to delve into the social forces that influence our experiences, behavior and opportunities. Students who major in sociology choose one of three emphases - criminology, general sociology, or inequalities and globalization. Earning a degree in sociology will help you prepare for your career in a variety of fields like law, non-profit management, local and federal policing, social services, environmental policy, social research and human resources.
