Free Drop-In Meditation Resumes on Jan. 18

UI Mind weekly drop in meditation returns beginning at noon Wednesday, Jan. 18. The drop-in will meet from noon-12:25 p.m. each Wednesday in the Commons Aurora Room. No experience necessary. Just bring your curiosity and let yourself drop into a a relaxing routine. Meditations are led by UCLA Certified Mindfulness teacher Jamie Derrick, Ph.D. All meditations are open to staff, students, faculty and the community. For more information, click here.

The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for administrative support duties for the Chair of the Department of Psychology and Communication Studies (PCS). They also offer administrative support for approximately 15 full-time faculty members, 10-15 temporary lecturers, 30-35 graduate students (10-15 of whom are graduate assistants; 15-20 of whom are distance education/off-campus students), and 500 undergraduate majors (10-15% are distance education students, on-line or in Coeur d’Alene). 22 Students Win Undergraduate Research Grants

The UI Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) has awarded Undergraduate Research Grants to 22 students from across six colleges. Each grant will support a faculty-mentored student research project during spring semester 2017. The student projects are diverse and range from studies of Galapagos snails to hydrogen fuel cells to nutritional intervention for nurses.
