Dr. Reineke joined the Department in 2001 as an adjunct faculty member before completing her Ph.D. in 2004 from Indiana University, Bloomington. In 2005, she became Assistant Professor of Political Science and Women's Studies. Dr. Reineke's research and teaching interests are in the fields of political philosophy and comparative politics, focusing on feminist political theory, citizenship and democratic theory, sexual reproductive politics, and gender primarily in Western Europe and North America. She is currently working on a book-length manuscript about the abortion debate in postwar France and a new research project about state policies governing new reproductive and genetic technologies (NRGTs).
