    Interested in receiving a college credit?
     

    Idaho participants may receive college credit by participating in the workshop and writing a culminating paper about how the topics presented might improve practice in your music classroom (Due Nov. 1, 2013; 5 pages min).  Participants who want to receive 1 college credit should register for MUST 505 (CRN 32294) online as a non-degree seeking student, through the registrar's office and pay an additional per credit course fee of $121 for graduate students and $96 for undergraduate students. Teachers can also earn 12.5 Washington Clock Hours. 

    A Visitor's Parking Pass is included in Registration.  Please park in any Gold or Red lot near the Music Building and you can retrieve your parking pass when you register.

    All participants will receive a certificate of participation for 20 hours of professional development activities.

    Christopher-RobertsDr. Christopher Roberts

    Dr. Christopher Roberts has taught K-5 elementary music in Seattle for 16 years.  An active teacher educator, Roberts has presented sessions for music teachers across the country, and has published articles in the Orff Echo and the Kodaly Envoy. His areas of interest include singing skills, beat competency, and elementary student attitude towards music. In 2009, he was awarded the Outstanding Research Award – Professional by the Organization of Kodaly Educators for his article, “Wanna Race? Student Attitude Towards Competitive and Non-Competitive Singing Games in the Elementary Music Classroom.” In addition, he has taught in the Kodaly Certification Program at Seattle Pacific University since 2000. Currently, Roberts is the Northwest Regional Representative for the Society of General Music.
