Audition Day Auditions
In-Person Auditions
Schedule an audition by completing the Audition Application Form. You may schedule an audition during the work week. Instrumental auditions are normally unaccompanied.
Voice: In addition to Audition Day, the voice area also hears auditions on Friday afternoons at 3:30. Vocalists are welcome to bring their own accompanist. If this is not possible, a pianist will be provided to sight-read the accompaniment.
Recorded Auditions
Since in-person auditions are not possible for all students, we also welcome auditions via recording. Please complete the Audition Application Form prior to sending in your recording. Please use a high-quality CD or DVD and mark it clearly with your name and instrument or voice type. If you are auditioning on more than one instrument, put each instrument on separate media. Remember to listen to the copy of your recording before sending it; recordings are sometimes inaudible! All recordings become the property of the Lionel Hampton School of Music and will not be returned.
