Jazz Band Ensembles
Jazz Band Ensembles (MusA 323) are an integral part of our band program. There are three bands. Jazz Band I is directed by Vern Sielert, Jazz Band II by Vanessa Sielert, Jazz Band III by Alan Gemberling and Jazz Band IV by Alan Gemberling. These groups meet either two or three hours per week and are open to both music and non-music majors by audition. Public appearances include numerous campus concerts, the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival and some travel for off-campus concerts and festivals. Enterprising students will also find plenty of opportunities for participation in small combos.
Jazz Band I Mon/Wed/Fri 2:30 - 3:20 p.m.
Jazz Band II Mon/Wed/Fri 1:30 - 2:20 p.m.
Jazz Band III Tuesday/Thursday 3:30 - 4:20 p.m.
Jazz Band IV Tuesday 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
