Monte Boisen - Mathematics
Abstract: Symmetry plays an important role in many disciplines including art, science and engineering. Over the last two centuries, a great deal of mathematics has been developed to tackle problems in these fields. At the same time that mathematics has enhanced our understanding of symmetry, symmetry has enhanced our understanding of mathematics. This interplay will be explored.
