Seventh Annual Palouse French Film Festival Runs Throughout October

The Palouse French Film Festival returns to Moscow for a seventh year this October. The communitywide movie series features four weekly films and is presented by the Washington State University Department of Foreign Languages and Cultures, the University of Idaho Department of Modern Languages and Cultures, and the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre in Moscow.

Palouse Language and Culture Symposium April 16

The third annual Palouse Language and Culture Symposium will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 16, in the Whitewater Room of the Idaho Commons. This is a great opportunity for language and culture educators and students to collaborate, network and learn from one another. There are 24 excellent workshops on a variety of topics: teaching language, culture and bias, faculty collaboration, and motivating students. Distinguished guest speaker, Manka Varghese, Ph.D., from the University of Washington will be speaking on "English Language Learners' College Pathways and Experiences." Pre-registration is $20.
