Why I chose the University of Idaho

I remember not knowing which school was going to be the best fit for me. And to be honest, I wasn’t able to determine that it was until I went home to Hawaii during winter break of my freshman year.

Although it was some time ago, I distinctly remember talking amongst my friends about what we love about the schools we go to. Some went to schools in California and they talked about the sunny weather being similar to Hawaii and being able to go to the beach and Disneyland. Others talked about their experiences being on the East Coast and how amazing it is to go to school in New York City. But when my friends were curious about my first semester in Idaho, I wasn’t sure what made my school special.

It wasn’t the warm weather. It wasn’t the constant buzz of life in the city. It was the genuine connections I made with so many people in a short amount of time.

What I like most about UI

The community-based campus provided by the University of Idaho allowed me to meet some of the greatest people I have ever met. To this day, many of my hall-mates still remain in close contact – some are even my housemates.
