Broadcasting & Digital Media B.A. & B.S.

Broadcasting and Digital Media graduates pursue careers in digital media production, news and sports broadcasting, documentary filmmaking, television, radio, film and online media. Under the direction of experienced faculty, students:

  • Use cutting-edge technologies, including a high-definition television studio, digital video and audio editing bays;  
  • Showcase their experience, work at an annual digital media festival, Moscow Kino;
  • Produce multi- media sports content for our weekly television show “Inside the Vandals”;
  • Report news for Idaho Public Radio.

The Radio-TV Center is the home to a synergistic mix of classes and professional learning opportunities. Facilities include a television studio, faculty offices, and student work stations. All are equipped with the latest software to provide students the opportunity to tell stories in all media forms.  Outside of class, students assist in the production of programs for Idaho Public Television and produce stories for our multimedia news service, Idaho Public Radio.

Required course work includes the university requirements, the School of JAMM core, JAMM 275 Introduction to Digital Media Production (4 cr) plus eleven credits from the following list:
