Pardon Our Dust
The Idaho Repertory Theatre will shorten its summer season while important life-safety improvements are made to the performance space in the University of Idaho’s Hartung Theater. Over the course of eight weeks, the venue’s proscenium, stage deck and rigging system will be upgraded. To ensure the swiftest completion of this work, our summer production will begin Aug. 16 with Circle Mirror Transformation by Annie Baker.
While our physical space is undergoing upgrades, we’ll take time to do a thorough review and analysis of our arts organization. For more than 58 years, IRT has been a staple of theatre arts in our region. For us to be the best stewards of our mission to provide quality professional theatre that combines compelling theatre at affordable prices with a wide range of education programs for all ages, a self-assessment can provide us with important information to help redefine and refine our role in the arts community. We are committed to developing a model that will make professional theatre more sustainable on the Palouse.
So, in summer 2012, we ask that you “pardon our dust” as we create a more vibrant organization to serve you!
