- Perfoming Sophocles’ Antigone
University of Idaho, Moscow, Idaho
The purpose of the project is twofold: it aims at giving a ‘living’ experience of the ancient Greek drama to Classics students, and at spreading interest and knowledge of Classical Antiquity’s cultural products within the local community. The performance will be free and open to the general public. Starting January 2010, Ending May 2010
- Children at the University: Classics meets with children
University of Idaho, Moscow, Idaho.
The project consists of a class of Classical Mythology designed for children of Elementary School. Children will be engaged in a way that may enhance their creative skills by being invited to re-propose the myths they have learned through drawings. They will be also given the opportunity to enlarge their vocabulary through emphasizing some specific words that occur in the myths and that either constitute the roots of, or are able to explain the meaning of, related modern terms. A public, final exhibit of the children’s drawings will also give them the chance to share their acquired knowledge with the community. Starting February 2010, Ending May 2010
