Kristi Overfelt is an Academic Advising and Retention Specialist in the College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences. She has been teaching and advising students at the University of Idaho since 2007. She is currently working on finishing her M.S. degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. Her project research focuses on retention programs for students on academic probation, and has researched the topic extensively. She has developed a Student Success course for students on academic probation and those returning from academic
disqualification. Since becoming an advisor, she has developed a passion for Students in Transition, and the First Year Experience. Kristi lives in Moscow with her husband, and one out of five children left at home.
