Dee Broughton divides her time between teaching international graduate students at the University of Idaho and working with English learners and teachers outside the States. In the summer of 2009, she directed the opening of a private English language school in Oaxaca, Mexico. In 2011-2012, she’ll be an English Language Fellow for the U.S. State Department in Vallabh Vidyanagar, where she'll train teachers and design materials for the public schools of Gujarat, India. When in Moscow, she teaches first-year writing courses and offers graduate internships and practica in teaching first-year composition. She has developed new courses here at UI in advanced ESL research writing and in pedagogical issues for non-native English-speaking teachers. Her 400-level Research Writing for International Students will continue as an online course in spring 2012. In her spare time, she designs professional training materials and curricula for educational presentations.
