Dee Broughton is currently the Senior English Language Fellow for Gujarat, India where she trains pre-service English teachers in materials design, teaches courses and workshops in research writing, and consults with educators on a range of projects, such as the writing and design of English-medium textbooks for the state of Gujarat, the institution of frequency-based vocabulary placement testing in a number of colleges within the University of Delhi, and the development of grant-funded teacher training materials for distribution via mobile phone. In India, she has been a keynote and plenary speaker at a number of international conferences. When at home in Idaho, Dee teaches advanced research writing for international students, beginning research writing, and practica for international English language teachers. She specializes in teacher training, teaching academic writing, materials design, and usage of frequency-based vocabulary. She's engaged in doctoral research on the use of sources in second language writing and, in her limited spare time, she designs professional presentation materials and writes and edits ebooks for private clients.
