Chinese Movie Night

The University of Idaho Confucius Institute would like to invite you to join us for our Chinese Movie Night! Each film will have a brief introduction by our visiting South China University of Technology instructor. The audience will have the opportunity to discuss the film and its cultural significance at its conclusion with our visiting instructor who is a specialist in Chinese cinema and film culture.

A master adventurer leads a mercenary team to recover the bronze heads of 12 Chinese Zodiac animals which were looted by foreigners in the 1800s from the Old Summer Palace. A 2012 Hong Kong action film co-produced, written, directed, and starring Jackie Chan.

Chines New YearJoin the Confucius Institute at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre on January 14th before the film begins for our 2015 kick-off event! Visit with our guest speakers, sample traditional Chinese food and make new friends!

The pre-movie festivities will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the film beginning at 7 p.m.
