Binghamton Chinese Opera Performance

A Wondrous Performance by the Binghamton Confucius Institute of Chinese Opera!

As part of the University of Idaho Confucius Institute's extended celebrations for Global Confucius Institute Day 2015, Soochow University Art Troupe was invited to astound audiences with an overview of China's history and major artistic forms. The Soochow University Art Troupe specializes in music featuring traditional Chinese instruments such as the pipa, erhu, flute and incorporates modern Chinese musical elements which merge into dance performances such as "Emperor Qin Calling up Troops" and martial arts demonstrations such as "The Soul of China." The evening's performances will provide a brief overview of China's history and major artistic forms including traditional music, opera, martial arts, and dance.

Come enjoy their performance at 7 p.m. in the University of Idaho's Administration Building Auditorium which will appeal to all ages and be a cultural highlight of your year!

Tickets are $5.00 each and will go on sale in September 2015!
