Guy R. Knudsen
Guy R. Knudsen is professor of microbial ecology and plant pathology at the University of Idaho, and a licensed attorney with interests in environmental and international human rights law. He is a member of the Ecological Society of America, National Lawyers Guild, and Lawyers Earthquake Response Network, and serves on the Board of Directors of Paloma Institute, a nonprofit organization focused on agriculture, environment, health, and social justice.
He recently served on the National Academy of Sciences organizing committee for Research to Improve the Evaluation of Impacts of Genetically Engineered Organisms in Terrestrial and Aquatic Wildlife and Habitats, and was a contributing author on food and environmental security for the Summary Submission to the United Nations Universal Periodic Review of Haiti. He received his B.S. in Forestry from the University of New Hampshire; M.S. and Ph.D. in plant pathology from Cornell University, and J.D. from Taft Law School.
