both the UI Department of Art
and the UI College of Graduate Studies.
Here are the basic steps:
Department of Art
Application to the online MAT degree program requires:
1 A slide portfolio of your work.
Up to 20 slides maybe included in your portfolio.
2 A Letter of Intent.
Describing your background, experience and goals.
3 Three letters of recommendation.
Send your slide portfolio, including a self-addressed stamped return envelop, and your Letter of Intent to:

Letter of Recommendation should be sent directly to the above address.
Application to the
UI College of Graduate Studies may be submitted in two ways. You may apply using their
on-line application or may request to receive application materials from the
Graduate Admissions Office. Visit the

Official transcripts from every college and university you have attended should be sent to Graduate Admissions directly from those schools. Citizens of non-english speaking countries must submit TOEFL scores. If you have additional questions, please email
