Linden String Quartet

The “polished, radiant and incisive” (Strad magazine) Linden String Quartet performs on Moscow’s Auditorium Chamber Music Series on Thursday, January 24. The concert features the sublime Beethoven String Quartet Op.132 along with quartets by Franz Joseph Haydn, John Corigliano, and the master of the new ragtime style, William Bolcom. The Linden Quartet mentored with the legendary Tokyo String Quartet and has recently garnered first prize in several of the most prestigious chamber music competitions.
In addition to their evening concert, the Quartet will be teaching and performing in schools and community centers to a wide variety of audiences during their four-day residency on the Palouse. The public is welcome, without charge, to a number of events during the Linden’s residency, including a “rug concert” for young children and their parents on Friday, January 25 at 3:30 at the Fiske Room of the 1912 Center (412 East 3rd Street in Moscow), and a mini-concert at the University of Idaho Commons Rotunda at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, January 23.
