Majors

The College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS) offers nearly 30 majors in areas such as English, history, psychology, sociology, music, political science, journalism, international studies and more. 

You also have the option to expand your focus beyond one major. In some programs, students are encouraged to double major in order to improve career opportunities. For instance, 80 percent of students in foreign languages will also pursue a double major in areas such as international studies, history, political science, English and public relations.

Students are encouraged to add a minor or an academic certificate to their major to enhance their skill set and help secure employment after graduation.
