Clubs and Organizations
If you want to get involved in Student Organizations at the University of Idaho Coeur d’Alene, here are some great opportunities:
Student Advisory Group—The Student Advisory Group is a group of student leaders from various majors and programs who wish to make connections with fellow students; assist in the communication process between students, faculty and staff; and promote positive change at the University of Idaho Coeur d’Alene. For more information or to apply to be a SAG member, e-mail sag@uidaho.edu.
CASPUS—Counseling and School Psychology Associated Students
The Counseling and School Psychology Associated Students is organized for graduate students in the School Psychology and Vocational Rehabilitation programs on the Coeur d’Alene campus. It can provide group support and social interaction for students in the programs as well as be a liaison between students and faculty. The organization seeks to support communication with the Moscow campus and provide a voice for Coeur d’Alene students to bring positive change where needed. Students interested in membership should contact Sachin Jain (sjain@uidaho.edu or 667-2588) or Steve Duvall (sduvall@uidaho.edu or 667-2588) for more information.
CLASS ACT
Class Act is the organizational link between the College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences and its Coeur d’Alene Students. If you are a Coeur d’Alene CLASS Student (majors in Psychology, General Studies and Environmental Science) you are already a member. CLASS ACT also is an umbrella organization for Coeur d’Alene student CLASS groups that are discipline specific (for example, Psi Chi). Goals include spreading the word, providing mutual support and creating learning opportunities outside of the classroom. Visit the CLASS Act Blog (Clog) at http://www.webpages.uidaho.edu/~rreardon/clog.htm or e-mail Dr. Richard Reardon at rreardon@uidaho.edu.
North Idaho College/University of Idaho Education Club
The North Idaho College/University of Idaho Education Club is specifically for education majors and meets once per month during the Fall and Spring semesters. The Club provides its members with many great professional development opportunities and preparation for a career in teaching. Their mission is to recruit, retain and engage a larger, more active association membership, in order to achieve a great public school for every child! E-mail cdaedclub@uidaho.edu for further information.
