UI Coeur d'Alene Celebrates 30th Anniversary

30 Years of Teaching and Learning in Coeur d’Alene

This academic year, the University of Idaho Coeur d’Alene campus celebrates its 30th anniversary as a full time instructional center serving the lake city and northern Idaho.

A Legacy of Leading in Northern Idaho

The creation of the Coeur d’Alene instructional center follows a long history of service by the University of Idaho in the region. The university has served the needs of northern Idaho citizens for nearly a century through its agricultural research and extension service. The Sandpoint Research and Extension Center was instituted in 1913. Agricultural extension agents were established throughout the northern counties shortly thereafter beginning with Kootenai County in 1917.

The university looks forward to celebrating many more milestones in the region as we continue serving and meeting the educational needs of citizens and communities in northern Idaho.
