The
University of Idaho Extension System houses 42 extension offices around the state and on the Fort Hall and Coeur d'Alene Indian Reservations.
The extension system in North Idaho provides workshops, classes, and face-to-face consultations to link Idahoans to a wealth of university research and expertise, additional land grant institutions, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and over three million volunteers nationwide. In the region, master gardener programs are particularity popular, as are forestry programs.
