WHY DID YOU WANT TO BE A CBE AMBASSADOR?
Being part of the Ambassador program was an opportunity to become involved in the college in a way that I knew would have an impact. As a representative of my college, I really enjoy the experience of getting to know a potential student – maybe a parent – and helping them find what it is about the CBE or UI that appeals to them. The best part about being an Ambassador is sharing my experiences to give prospective students a real idea of what life as a CBE student can be like. I was especially interested in thee program because I love the idea of having a student represent their college, and I saw a lot of potential in the program to become a valuable outreach and recruitment resource – and I wanted to be part of it!
WHAT HAS BEEN ON OF YOUR FAVORITE EXPERIENCES SO FAR IN THE COLLEGE OF BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS (CLASS, ACTIVITY, CLUB, STUDENT INTERACTIONS, ETC.)?
My favorite experience in the CBE so far can be pinpointed to a class titled “Organizational Design and Change.” The content was interesting and the use of case student analysis allowed me to understand the concepts in real world situations. However, the reason this class stands above the rest because of the quality of the faculty leading it. The instructor was clearly passionate about sharing his knowledge with the class and encouraged every student to be confident in their abilities to learn. Receiving such genuine support in the classroom inspired me to rethink my role as a student and has continued to challenge me to get the most out of my investment in the CBE.
