Michelle Yeager
NAME: Michelle Yeager
HOMETOWN: Kennewick, Wash.
YEAR IN SCHOOL: Senior
MAJOR: Human Resource Management and Operations Management
WHY DID YOU WANT TO BE A CBE AMBASSADOR?
I wanted to be a CBE Ambassador because I really appreciated the help that U-Idaho gave me in transferring here. I want to be able to share my positive experience about coming to U-Idaho with other perspective students. I also wanted to be able to be a resource to other students who are thinking about transferring. Transferring can be challenging and I am happy to be able to answer questions that visiting students or students from my previous community college may have.
WHAT HAS BEEN ON OF YOUR FAVORITE EXPERIENCES SO FAR IN THE COLLEGE OF BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS (CLASS, ACTIVITY, CLUB, STUDENT INTERACTIONS, ETC.)?
One of my favorite experience in CBE has been the Career Fair. I thought it was amazing how much the college does to help students find jobs after graduation. I got to attend an information session to help me apply for the internship I was interested in, and I had faculty help me edit my résumé. It is clear that when you are a student here, the faculty really care about preparing you for the job market. Professors are more than willing to put in extra effort to help you be successful.
