WHY DID YOU WANT TO BE A CBE AMBASSADOR?
I wanted to be a CBE ambassador because I saw it as a great opportunity to share my experiences at U of I with prospective students. I remember being in their position and can fully understand the concerns that arise during the transition period. As an ambassador, I am able to guide students through their transition into college, ease any of their worries, and answer their questions. Being an ambassador also allows me to represent and promote the CBE, which has provided me with experiences that have helped me grow as an individual. Overall, I hope that by providing my own perspective on the college experience, I can motivate students to further their education at the University of Idaho.
WHAT HAS BEEN ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE EXPERIENCES?
My favorite experience so far in the CBE has been meeting and networking with business students as well as faculty members. The college offers endless opportunities to get involved and network, like the CBE Ambassador Program, Vandal Solutions, or the Career Fair. Even IBC enables students to develop their networking skills and grow as individuals in order to succeed in future endeavors. The many opportunities available have allowed me to see the drive in which faculty members aim to help students succeed. Their genuine interest in each individual student’s success makes me proud to be a member of the CBE and the U of I community.
OTHER FAVORITE EXPERIENCE.
My favorite experience has been interacting with the diverse U-Idaho community.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE NEW CBE STUDENTS?
The advice I would give new CBE students is never hesitate to ask your professors for help or visit with your advisors. Our CBE faculty truly cares about your success and aims to offer opportunities that help you reach your full potential. So ask questions, get involved, and take advantage of opportunities offered.
